First of all that sounds sweet but will be pretty hard to build and have a lotof weight issues.

So you have this 30.cc motor but you will need to get a transmissionfor this to supply both the front and rear with power to the wheels. But alsoyou need to look at how much power it does put out with rock crawling to methat would be way too much. On my crawler I have two 35 t Motors and sometimes Ithing that a little much I can see if you were building a rock racer but youare still in the same spot as before just build a Buggy with your motor. Andgood luck building one with a Reg weed eater motor is a lot of work you shouldjust buy a motors From DDM just an FYI b/c they are already to be put into aCar or buggy type.

hell yea... id love to see a 2 stroke rock crawler...  tons of things to look at though..

2 stroke engines are not know for low end torque, so you will have to utilize engines rpm to create torque. so you mave have to use some type of gearing reduction (divoriced transmission or dual gear box)

 low center of gravity...

also finding shocks soft enough to flex, and strong enough to hold up the weight of a larger veh.

also steering.. not sure what size wheels you a re looking at but a high toruqe sterring servo is very important..

matt is fur sure the guy to ask anything rock crawling.. i cant wait ti see some pics and i think i may have a few more ideas for drive train... i post after i do some diggig around in the shop..

keep us updated and anything you need please ask.. thanks for the post

i have a buddy that has a 1/6 scale pulling tractor and he has sum ideas, but it looks like 2wd would be much simpler.. and cheaper  the pulling veh use a direct drive much like the rear-end of a full size car. they use the oem clutch that comes on most weed eaters.  the issue if wheel speed... thing will fly waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy to fast to crawl... if you decide on a 2wd buggy i think i can help.. thanks
